Fun, family-friendly, festive!

Wilmington is situated at the base of Whiteface Mountain - you can't stay closer to the Olympic mountain unless you plan to pitch a tent on the slopes! Year-round Wilmington has great events to offer. Enjoy award-winning Fly fishing in the West Branch of the Ausable River in the spring, and outstanding hiking and mountain biking in the summer. The fall is overflowing with outrageous foliage and fun festivals, while winter features a variety of activities from backcountry snowshoeing, to sledding, skating and of course, skiing and riding at Whiteface Mountain

Grab a huge made-to-order sub at the awesome Little Supermarket (yeah, that's how we roll in the Adirondacks - we told you everything was close!) and head to one of the many trailheads located throughout the famous winding Notch. When the family is in tow, follow up a great day at Santa's Workshop (one of the oldest theme parks in the United States), with a trip to the Wilmington Town Beach - swim, play volleyball, barbecue, relax. Whiteface Mountain has activities during the non-winter months too, so you can try your hand at disc golf, or even take the gondola up for a sweeping view of the Whiteface Region.

Go ahead, indulge. Who doesn't love a good ole-fashioned A&W root beer float or a dipped-twist cone from a sweet roadside stand? How about homemade chocolates - Wilmington is the home of the Candy Man Homemade Adirondack Chocolates (don't worry - they ship!).
