Stay: Warner’s Camp

Warner’s Camp holds the perfect collection of cabins for any size girls trip, large or small! On the shores of the Ausable River lies the original Warner’s Camp, a camp detailed with a large barn, cozy authentically Adirondack interiors, and string lights that hover over a quaint fire pit with enough chairs for everyone in your party to gather ‘round and roast some mallows. Across the street lives the Cabin, a little abode straight out of a wintry postcard. Complete with a woodsy inside (with Smeg appliances and plenty of logs), outside you’ll find a hot tub and a trail down to your very own sauna. Score!

Do: arts and crafts

If you get rained out on your fully-booked girls trip (bummer!) there’s no need to throw in the towel. Turn your sights to the more crafty side of the Whiteface Region, Young’s Studio and Gallery. Young’s studio is the resident sculpture studio and epicenter of adorable handmade gifts. Find unique designs that can spruce up your pottery game in your home, or get matching sets so that everyone remembers the trip! Sue Young's handmade pottery is beautiful, creative, and one of a kind. Find the perfect gift or souvenir from a trip with the girls.

Do: hike

For the best views in the region, you’ll find plenty of trails that fit the bill. Stag Brook Falls showcases a stunning tiered waterfall with little strain on everyone in your group. With a total round-trip of 1.5 miles, the picturesque climb to the 40-foot waterfall makes the quick trek worth it. *Please note this waterfall is only accessible when ski season is not in session since the trail crosses ski trails.* If your group is full of outdoorswomen (and experienced trail blazers), try your hiking boots at scaling Whiteface Mountain itself! The mountain is the region’s 5th tallest High Peak, and requires a bit of strenuous effort to reach the top. You'll hike 3.6 miles to the summit, making for a 7.2-mile round trip. As this is one of the more challenging hikes in the region, it is imperative that you and your group properly prepare for this trip. Once you reach the summit, all the hard work will have been worth it!

You and your party will leave NewVida feeling rejuvenated and restored, ready for more adventures on your trip.

Do: flower tours

Looking for that finishing touch to round out your itinerary? Consider a tour around Little Farmhouse Flowers, a beautiful local floral design studio and flower farm dedicated to sustainable flower growth and production. The farm regularly keeps itself busy, teaching the pros and newbies alike on floral design, growth, and the flower world! Take your group on a reserved tour of the farm, ranging from 1 to 4 hours, and learn the intricacies of floral design and crop management in one of the most difficult environments in the US. If you can’t get enough of the farm and their beautiful flowers, you can order flowers for pickup, or perhaps book an online course to learn more about the world of floral design when you get back home!
