Could it possibly be almost Spring? We've had so much snow and great winter weather this year, it's hard to imagine Spring is just a couple weeks away. And yet, all the fun slopeside events are here. Outside deck parties, fun spring races and most especially, the live entertainment and wacky contests that make up Spring Fest at Whiteface Mountain have launched!
Two super sundays!
This Spring there are not one, but TWO Super Sundays, when lift tickets are reduced to just $40 for a full day of skiing and riding. Shamrock Super Sunday falls on March 16, when all skiers and riders are Irish. Retro Super Sunday falls on April 6. Don those retro styles and win great prizes in the Cloudspin Lounge at 4 pm.
On the mountain
Every weekend on Saturday and Sunday, through April 6th, take advantage of first tracks on the mountain by signing up in advance. Be the first on the gondola and make those first carving turns on that fresh spring corduroy. First Tracks is FREE as long as you have a lift ticket. On Saturdays take a mountain tour with Whiteface ski school director Ed Kreil, but be sure to sign up early as participation is extremely limited. Sign up for both at Guest Services the day before - 518.946.2223, ext 310.
Fun races and events dot the calendar all month and into April. Timed beginner races for kids and other fun competitions will keep you entertained and bring out that competitive spirit in your kids.
Don't forget the AIRBAG Big Air Jump. at the bottom of Parkway Exit on Saturday, March 15. Register at Guest Services.

- March 8 - 15: USCSA Freestyle Nationals U16 Eastern Champs GS
- March 16 - Bronze Progression Park Series with coaching at Terrain Park
- March 29 - Whiteface Wipeout obstacle race. Tons of SWAG and prizes. Winners are crowned Mr. & Mrs. Whiteface and a get new pair of skis (and a crown of course!)
- March 22 - Apple Butter Open Bump competition
- March 23 - Grommet Jam
- April 5 - International Pond Skimming Contest

Entertainment is key in the Spring, with drink specials and with bands moving out to the sun deck as the weather permits. Rock the Face music series sees entertainment every Saturday as well as on Retro Super Sunday. Deck days at Whiteface don't get any better in the Spring.

MAPLE WEEKEND
Celebrate all things maple this weekend, both at the mountain and around the region. Cornell Cooperative will be at Whiteface all weekend with maple sugaring demonstrations. Along with the Shipman Youth Center they will be providing some delectable maple treats. Look for their display so you don't miss this phenomenal Spring treat!
