Black Ice Pond Skating with an Olympian
Join World Figure Sport for a unique black ice pond skating experience. This official workshop is open to all ages and levels and will be taught by Olympian Karen Courtland Kelly, WFS's Chef de Mission of Education and Sport.
This workshop offers a chance to connect with nature, while mastering essential skating techniques. The session begins with 30 minutes in our studio, covering fundamental skills. We'll then transition to the pond for 30 minutes of on-ice practice amidst the stunning landscape. After class, the pond will be open for 30 minutes so you can continue practicing your newly learned skills on your own, with Whiteface Mountain as your backdrop!
