Holiday sales are happening at Young’s Studio & Gallery, kicking off with an open house on Saturday, November 23. Specials include 25% off any one piece of Sue Young pottery, and revolving specials on yarn and jewelry. Sue’s pottery encompasses a wide range of techniques with motifs of birch bark, leaves and colored slip applications. The shop is flush with Artwork, Jewelry, Pottery, handbound books, stone carvings and wood carvings. Hand knits and weavings by local craftspeople, hand made ornaments, wooden puzzles and books by local authors. Our mission is to represent local artists. 

Yarns at Young’s

A shop within a shop, the yarn store started in 2019 and carries local yarns by Blue Pepper Farm in Jay, Paradogs Samoyed yarn from Plattsburgh and Dirty Girl Yarns, hand dyed and spun, by Heidi Fortsch of Chazy. Malabrigo, Cascade, Plymouth Encore and Skacel are the anchor brands with a few other yarns in the mix. Yarn gauges from Super Bulky, Bulky, Worsted, DK/sport and fingering are all available at the shop along with needles, notions and pattern access.
