Contradancing at JEMS
JEMS Presents: Jeremy Clifford and Adirondack 2 Step! Contra Dance is FUN and EASY country dancing with roots in English, Scottish, and French country dance styles of the 17th century. If you’ve never been to a Contra Dance, here’s everything you need to know: NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Simple, fun dance sequences are taught on the spot, with dancers forming two long lines of “coupled” people. Anyone can attend the dance - ALL AGES and ALL DANCE ABILITIES! You do not have to attend as a couple. Families are welcome! Singles are welcome! We’ll have you laughing and reeling in no time!!
